An adventure in WeddingDressShoppingLand

The Save-the-date cards are out and the planning is well on the way. Next step? Find a friggin’ dress. As of late I have been both anxious and reluctant when it comes to shopping, especially when you add the words wedding and dress. However, I took advantage of a day off to begin a quest for a dress.
Shannon a.k.a. Mini-Van-Shan was awesome enough to drive on our adventure! We picked up Frances May and lil A.J. and began our day at Bridal House in Newmarket. It’s a nice little shop and we poked around for some ideas. It was basically an in and out job.
Next stop, Aurora where we visited Elmwood Brides on Yonge St. I’ve driven passed this shop so many times and I probably never would have checked it out, if Frances May (on recommendation of her bff, Kim) didn’t navigate us there. Below is a slideshow of a few of the gems we found, including one super cute one that I tried on! I think we’re on to something.

After the excitement we filed back into the van and headed south to the city. But of course, to curb our hunger we took our lunch break at Congee Queen! Yummy.
Our travels brought us to North York where I attempted to find Your White Dress… it was closed. So instead we visited Windsor Bridal. We poked around and not so much. Next!
Finally we ended the day at Amanda-linas. Beautiful, beautiful gowns and very friendly staff. I may just go back and try on some princess dresses!
