Design
My love affair with design started with web and graphic design. I was 15, the internet was the new kid on the block and personal computer were becoming common. I started fooling around on the computer trying to figure it out. I was fascinated and bored. So I created my first webpage. It was cheesy then… background music, guestbook, guestcounter, backgrounds that twinkled. Aaah, amour. Love grew from these experiences–teaching myself how to use HTML and graphic editing software. The cover of a book, a clever logo, packaging of a product, an illustration, interior or floral design… all of it. I love design and consider myself a designer through and through. I am not formally trained, but I have always been passionate about the subject (sometimes, referring to myself as a creative solutionist). I did manage to study Industrial Design at Humber College which evolved and challenged my attitudes toward design as it pertains to everyday life. I enjoy the endless problems that can be solved by and through the design process.
